Pick your session

Choose a date and time that suits you. Sessions run on the hour or half-hour from dawn to dusk, every day. You can create a free account as part of your first booking; quick and easy.

Arrive and let them loose

Turn up at your booked time and enjoy the entire just over 2-acre field to yourselves. Fully enclosed and private; perfect for dogs of all sizes and energy levels.

Vacate by 5 to the hour or half-hour

Each session is 25 or 55 minutes of field time. Please be ready to leave 5 minutes before the hour or half-hour so the next booking can arrive and settle in without a rush.

Get a free coffee before your dog walk when the shop is open. Tuesday to Saturday 9.30am – 5pm.

Toilets are available for dog walkers in the shop during opening hours.

Everything you need to know before your first visit.

You book a session online and the field is yours alone for the session. No other dogs, no strangers, just you and your dogs in a fully enclosed, secure space. Drive in, close the gate behind you, and let them off the lead. It really is that straightforward.

Pricing is based on the number of dogs and duration of your booking: 1–3 dogs: £6 for 25 minutes, £10 for 55 minutes. 4 – 6 dogs: £9 for 25 minutes, £14 for 55 minutes, 9 dogs: £18 for 55 minutes. The maximum is 9 dogs per session. Select the correct number when you book and the right rate will be applied automatically.

Each session is 25 or 55 minutes, and that time covers your full visit. Arrival, exercise, collecting any waste, and departure. You must be clear of the field 5 minutes before the next session begins (so a 10am booking ends by 10:55). The buffer is there so the next dog can arrive without crossing paths with you — especially important for reactive and nervous dogs.

All bookings are made online on our booking page. Walk-in visits aren't possible. Payment is by card at the time of booking. We strongly recommend creating a free account rather than checking out as a guest, as this is the only way to cancel or transfer your booking yourself if your plans change.

We're open every day from dawn to dusk, with sessions starting on the hour. Check the booking calendar for real-time availability on your preferred date.

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your session. Just log in to your account, find the booking, and cancel. Your refund goes straight back to your card. Cancellations within 24 hours can't be refunded, but you can transfer your session to a friend or family member: email us at betty@highhounds.co.uk with their name and contact details and we'll update the booking. This only works if you booked through an account rather than as a guest.

It's one of the main reasons people book with us. Because every session is completely private, reactive, nervous, or recovering dogs can run freely without the stress of unexpected encounters. The field is fully enclosed with a gated entry, and the 5-minute buffer between bookings means you won't cross paths with the next group on the way out.

Up to 9 dogs per session. This could be your own dogs or a group of friends each bringing theirs. Just make sure you select the correct number when booking so the right rate is applied.

Fresh water is provided for your dogs on site. Dog waste bags and a bin are also available. We'd suggest sturdy footwear or wellies. The field is natural grass and may be uneven or muddy in wet weather. Everything else you might need for your dogs, please bring with you.

We're in Battisford, near Stowmarket, Suffolk. Full directions are here. Parking is available on site. Please do not arrive before your session begins, and wait at your vehicle until the field is clear.

Yes all breeds are welcome at High Hounds. Owners of XL Bully-type dogs and other restricted breeds must meet additional requirements before their first visit, including providing proof of registration on the Index of Exempted Dogs and a valid public liability insurance certificate. Please email us before booking at betty@highhounds.co.uk so we can confirm what applies to you and give written approval.
